Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Bring The Pup is a dog-friendly place discovery website. This policy explains the basic information used to run the site, improve it, and display advertising.
Information You Provide
When you search, you may enter a city, address, or postal code. That search term is used to find coordinates and nearby candidate places. If you use Near Me, your browser may ask for permission to share your approximate location. Location information is used to perform the search and may be sent to mapping/geocoding services needed to return results.
Cookies, Analytics, And Ads
This site may use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Users may also opt out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Mapping And Open Data Services
Bring The Pup uses OpenStreetMap-based services for geocoding, reverse geocoding, map display, and place data. Requests to these services may include a searched location or coordinates needed to return nearby results. Place data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License.
Local Storage
The site may store recent search results in your browser’s local storage to make repeat searches faster. This cache stays on your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
Saved places and recent searches are also stored locally on your own device. Bring The Pup does not receive, store, sync, or sell your saved-place shortlist or recent-search list. Those local lists may be removed if you clear browser data, use private browsing, change devices, or uninstall the home-screen app.
Visitor Confirmations
If you submit a dog-policy confirmation, the site stores the place, selected policy, optional note, optional source URL, submission time, and hashed technical signals such as IP address and browser user agent. Those hashes are used only for spam prevention, rate limiting, duplicate detection, and moderation. Public confirmation summaries are shown only after review and do not display your technical information.
